When setting goals, it is first wise to determine your true highest values. This can be done through completing the Demartini Value Determination Process found on my website.
Prioritizing your daily actions
After completing this process and identifying your top three highest values it is then wise to begin prioritizing your daily actions and sticking to and fulfilling these highest priority actions and delegating all other lower priority actions to specialists so as to fulfill your highest and most intrinsically inspiring values each day.
If you do not fill your day with high priority actions that inspire you, your day will fill up with low priority distractive actions that don’t.
Anytime you set goals that are not aligned with your true highest values you decrease the probability of having a fulfilling life and you end up experiencing what I have termed the self-depreciating ABCD’s of negativity:
- Anger and aggression
- Blame and feelings of betrayal
- Criticism and challenge
- Despair and depression
By taking command of your destiny, you live as the cause of your life instead of the effect of some other people’s lives.
“Nobody gets up in the morning and dedicates their life to your dreams. Your dreams are up to you.”
When you awaken to what is truly most important to you, what your true highest values are and set sail for them and set goals that are congruent and aligned with them you increase the odds of achieving them.
You will see opportunities, decide upon opportunities and act upon opportunities efficiently and effectively.
The key is to set goals that are truly important, goals that inspire you and that also serve others.
Just like piggy banks become biggy banks. Small actions lead to big dreams!
